Since moving to Frankfort I always bring visitors to the cemetery if they have time for a quick tour of the city. Go see Daniel Boone’s gravesite and enjoy the view of the capitol building, downtown Frankfort, and the Kentucky River.

Ran through the cemetery as part of the Kentucky History Half Marathon and then came back later to go through it more slowly. Beautiful river views and views of the Capitol building, along with an interesting variety of gravestones. Definitely worth a stop!

The cemetery sits at the top of a hill that over looks the capital and Kentucky river. Went to visit Daniel Boone's grave and then strolled around to see so many old headstones. Very well kept and safe.
