This park is located in Covington, Kentucky, across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. From the park you have a great view of the Cincinnati skyline. I think the Cincinnati skyline is one of the most beautiful city skylines in the country. It is especially beautiful at night when all of the lights are on.
A short walk south toward the John Roebling Bridge is a flood wall or concrete levee that has a series of murals painted on it that depicts much of the history of the Ohio River valley in the immediate vicinity. The murals are large and very attractive.
The John Roebling Suspension Bridge was built during the Civil war and was completed in 1866. At the time it was completed it was the world’s longer suspension bridge.
If you walk south from the park for about one block, you pass several beautiful homes built facing the river. Although Covington has flood walls to help prevent flooding for much of the city, these homes are not protected and have experienced severe flood damage over the years, especially in the infamous 1937 floods. Some of the homes had tunnels that led down to the river and were used to help escaped slaves cross over to the state of Ohio.
On the river side of the street, there several statues including those of George Rogers Clark and John Audubon. John Audubon is said to have done some of his bird drawings there where the Licking River empties into the Ohio River.
Parking is usually plentiful and is free.

We’d noted this is the 200th year of the death of George Rogers Clark. Memory of this Revolutionary War hero and his extraordinary exploits has faded. But this trip, we made a point of stopping at his grave in Louisville’s Cave Hill Cemetery, Indiana’s Falls of the Ohio State Park (significant in Clark’s exploits), and this pleasant little park. It offers striking views of Cincinnati and the Roebling Bridge. There are a dozen or so statues (of varying quality) of area historical figures. Strangely, I don’t think George Rogers Clark was one of him.

The scenery and ambiance is everything! There is parking near and you can walk there. There are statues there! I love the history.

Fantastic little park on the Ohio River. Less than a city block but chock full of history and statuary on park grounds and the nearby river walk. The views of the Cincinnati skyline are fabulous. Walking in and around the park is relaxing and historical if you choose that route. I found it very peaceful.

Walk along the river, see the boats and the murals of early Pioneer history with the Clark Brothers and Daniel Boone. Nice Walk.

The park is only a few hundred feet square but rather busy. People walking their dogs, people sitting on the benches watching the river go by and some were simply reading a book. We walked around for a few minutes, enjoying the views. The park is peaceful and definitely worth a short visit.

This small park is right on the south bank of the Ohio River, opposite Cincinnati, Ohio. It's a very quiet and peaceful park, ideally situated to watch the river traffic, have a quiet lunch or just read for a while.

This park offers great views of Cincinnati, and especially at night and during Red's games as the stadium is very bright. The park is in a residential area and features an historic statue of a woman steamship pilot.

Found this park on the way back to the Marriott, after eating dinner at Blinker's. Nice park, surrounded by several historic homes. Nice view of the river. A couple of pages through the park. A couple bronze statues. Just a short distance from the historic suspension bridge and the flood wall murals.

You can park on the street right by the park. There's plenty of parking in the area. You might want to have some change for the meter.
