Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is the home of the "little Niagara." There is a lodge, many trails, and then the falls itself. You can hike to the falls or drive and park to access the falls viewing areas. There is a gift shop and...More

My husband and I visited on a Monday -- and it wasn't crowded at all! Nice, short trails to view the falls. We didn't do any of the longer ones. Falls are beautiful!

We spent a week with a 7 and a 10 years old in a cabin. The two bedroom cabin was specious and well equipped. We hiked daily on wonderful trails which are not too difficult for youngsters. The resort and the park offers a number...More

We stayed at the Dupont lodge and it is dated and needs a good cleaning. Perhaps because it was a busy time the front desk was quick and short with responses. The restaurant is overpriced and under whelming! I still cannot believe that I had...More

We had had a full day of exploring waterfalls and Cumberland falls was the last of the day. Don't get me wrong the falls were gorgeous but you had to fight the crowds just to catch a view. I suggest trying Cumberland first thing in...More

Stayed one night at DuPont Lodge. Small king room but expected since the resort was built so many years ago. Great viewing deck to enjoy the river, birds and animals. Enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant reasonably priced. Main observation of the falls is blocked with...More

Great vantage points, good trails, nice gift shop. If you visit, I recommend also kayaking or canoeing through Sheltowee Adventure Resort.

This was a day trip destination from Columbus based on the review, "Niagra of the south". We went straight to the falls... and Niagra it is not. It was sad. There is potential, but the park was under construction so a couple overlooks were closed....More

Beautiful impressive Cumberland Falls worth the long drive during daylight. But until the repairs to the viewing area are finish, don't expect to see the Moonbow. Only visible from an area that is currently off limits. Call the park to inquire about repair status AND...More

How far of a hike is it

Not sure what you're asking. the trails are open at night because that's when the moonbow is out. the trails are clear, well marked and more like packed walkways. There are people out, but it's of course, always safer in a... More
