Apparently the days before we arrived, the area received a LOT of rain. Four of the hiking trails were closed due to high water, so we couldn't explore the area much, but the falls were quite impressive! There is a tremendous amount of power in the water coming over the falls. Definitely worth stopping by the check them out!

This is an awesome park with wonderful trails, beautiful waterfalls, and amazing vistas. The lodge is nice and has a good restaurant. There is a public swimming pool. There are a lot of nearby attractions.

I have lived in the area for 50 years and it is the best state park in Kentucky for natural beauty and appeal. The park has great accommodations in the lodge and cabins. The cabins do lack a modern feel but are set in a nature setting for some cabins. The ones near the lodge are like being in a... More

My wife and I wanted something to see & do, so we decided to see, what is known as the Niagara Falls of the South, mini version. Besides the walking & viewing it was worth to say we saw & got pictures. Yes it was interesting and yes it was worth it.

We returned to Cumberland Falls 39 years after having been there for our honeymoon. The lodge is as we remembered but looks like very little has been done to keep it up. Which is a shame it is an absolutely beautiful location. IT rained all weekend end and there were buckets scattered throughout catching the rain water. It was obvious... More

We stayed in the Woodland Cabins at Cumberland Falls State Park. These cabins are located quite near the main lodge building. They are advertised as having a "kitchenette". They have a coffee pot, a microwave oven, a mini-fridge (fridge only, not freezer), and some drinking glasses. No plates, no flatware. "kitchenette" is going too far, a bit of false advertising.... This place is beautiful and awe inspiring. It's great for families and some of it can be accessed by seniors. Pretty good hike from some parking.

We stayed at this park during a spring break trip of camping around Kentucky sites. By far, this was the worst campground we stayed in. The sites are tiny and they are extremely close together. If you are hoping for privacy here, you can forget it. The bathhouse was dirty, old, and pretty busted up. Also, the signage in the... More
