Cold Day but Fun

Went to see the falls as a part of our Anniversary trip. Had a good time except for not being able to go to lower part due to repairs.

Great place to walk around and see the falls. I highly recommend walking down to Eagle Falls, which is a short 3 mile or so hike on the other side from the state park. There's a small parking lot and trail head past the bridge.

We had a blast walking the many trails in the area. Upon arrival we asked which trail we should do and the lady at the desk recommended the #9. We loved the fist half, met lots of people and saw spectacular views but then it got eerie the second half... We got a little lost since all the leaves hid... More

The river is way down. You could walk at least halfway across the river above the falls and not get your feet wet. The lower observation decks are closed for repairs so I'm sure it will be at least next spring before they reopen them.

Enjoyed hiking with my husband through the CCC trail ending at the falls. Today more water was coming off the falls and we saw a beautiful rainbow. Plan to return tonight in hoprs to see a moonbow

The main attraction at this state park is the waterfall known as the little Niagara of the South. It can be viewed from several different vantage points but unfortunately, the day we visited the lower falls viewing point was closed for repairs to the guard rails. Nonetheless, the falls is a very attractive place to visit any time of the... More

The falls are actually hard to find and we went way too far before we turned around. Beautiful falls and paths around the river. It's in the middle of a forest so we were lucky to be there when the leaves were at peak colors. No charge to get in and there is a gift shop and a place for... More

We've been to The Falls many times, but this was first time to see the Moonbow - the bow itself was awesome, but just as enchanting was watching the trees and rocks on the mountain across the river slowly illuminate as the moon rose - nature's show at her best!
