We would give the museum 4.5 if possible. We had a nice time and will return another time. We would have liked to have seen a bit more Kentucky facts and labels were absent from some of the exhibits on the first floor after the Duncan Hines exhibit. We especially enjoyed the interactive bins in the civil war exhibit. At... More

My arrival time was about 3:00 with the museum's closing at 4:00. The objective was to visit the civil war gallery. This gallery starts with A Conflict in Kentucky followed with Compromise & Conflict. Next are several photos of an African-American family possibly pre-Civil War, with replica of their home. A number of phots/drawings cover one wall that deal with... More

Was looking for something unexperienced before - done Corvette Museum & Factory tour more than once & all the caves & have enjoyed all. This is on WKU campus. You may have to persevere a bit to get there because signage wasn't great from the direction from where I was staying (off of I65 Exit 22), but believe it might... More

This museum is well worth a visit. All of the exhibits are well done and showcase both Kentucky and Bowling Green history. Loved the Duncan Hines exhibit!

The Kentucky Museum is located on WKU's campus. It has several great exhibits and takes less than a 1/2 day.

Need something to do with the kids? This attraction is free on Wednesdays in July. They have also added docents to answer your questions throughout your visit. They were never intrusive, but not always well informed. Answers like "I don't know-they didn't tell us that" we're not appreciated.

This museum was a highlight of me and my husbands vacation. I couldn't say what my favorite part was. We had a girl follow us around in case we had any questions but she wasn't pushy and just let us browse at our own pace. Very highly recommend!

The various displays include evidence of the earliest human habitation by native Americans, although more could be said about local domestication of foodstuffs (Woodland culture), and more thorough coverage is calle for. In particular, a major focus on the Civil War period, and mid-20th century. You won't want to miss the special quilt exhibit. This is also a great venue... More

This place is amazing. There is a civil war exhibit (which always makes me sad, but still a must see). Then, you hit the Duncan Hines exhibit - off the hook fun. I had no idea how fascinating it was to read about all the interesting travels, and products that he was involved in. He was virtually the "trip adviser... More

This museum is just marvelous and they have some many wonderful exhibits. If you like history, especially Kentucky history, you'll love this museum. There is a wealth of information about Duncan Hines and what he contributed. They have many artifacts to view when you visit. If you visit Bowling Green this is a must see.
