This is an old gas station with gas pumps used in the 1920s. It is located near downtown and next to lots of good stuff to see. There is no charge to see. Well worth the effort.

Very disappointed. From the reviews I read, we expected to see a restored 1920s service station. Really looked forward to a bit of history. What you see is on my attached photo; that's it! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! I can't believe the reviews others left???? ALL YOU...More

You don't need to reserve a lot of time here but it is interesting to see. It's wonderful that the city chose to preserve this bit of history rather than tearing it down.

Couln't tell you when is was originally built (1930s maybe, give or take) but sat neglected for years until it was restored. Nice place to take some pictures of something from days gone by

I'm sure this is an important spot for locals, but otherwise nothing. Every town has an old gas station, and likely much better than this one

This is a cool little thing to see, but do not make it a trip unto itself. Make sure you are doing something in the area, and then walk over to see it. It is in the corner of a nice park. The station is...More

The very first Standard Oil station. Be sure to stop and read the history on the station. Nicely remodeled for public restrooms and right next to a small park. Check out the gas prices on the pump - oh to have those again!

We like taking our kid to "old-timey" stuff and this fit the bill. There's not much to do here, but it wasn't far out of the way. It's attached to a park, so there's plenty of parking across the green. We played with the air...More

When people leave a response that says "restored", it sort of suggests that there's some "historical significance". THIS BLDG WAS CONVERTED TO A PUBLIC REST ROOM, in a public park. While it was a cute idea for using this... More
