This is a beautifully restored rail depot that is now used as a welcome center for town. The people there were very helpful with suggestions of things to see in town while we were there and also provided a history of the depot.

On our first return trip to Berea College in many years, we enjoyed the warm greetings and seeing students at work making brooms, woven baskets, etc. Worth the visit.

These folks go out of their way to be helpful plus it’s a historic old building. Their are plenty of helpful brochures and clean restrooms. Do check out the L&N memorabilia toward the back. There is also plenty of parking.

How quaint this welcome center is, built in an old train station. It's worth a stop in, even if you don't need information. They can give you information on the history of Bees, the local area, and special sites and artisan spots you won't want...More

Very welcoming! We stopped by on our way through the town. The person behind the counter let us know about the Learn series coming up. Sadly we do not have enough time to do that, but will surely return another year.

Art's Alive! That's the slogan you'll see associated with Berea KY. Most of the art falls into the artisan category--pottery, weaving, quilting, woodoworking. There's a definite Appalachian flair that permeates but doesn't oerwhelm. Park free and enter the visitor's center for guidance to other centers,...More
