TheCivil War Museum in Bardstown is excellent. They have numerous artifacts and excellent displays explaining the Civil War in the West. If you’re interested in history, you’ll enjoy the museum.

We thought this museum would be a 15 minute in and out, but there were lots of things to look at and read. I enjoyed how it was in chronological order, so you could see how battles developed and moved on.

If I remember correctly kids under 5 are free. the prices are also on their website
