Due to heavy rains we were unable to get up close to the structure. Drove over an hour to reach the last .4 miles and found the entrance blocked by a large amount of mud. Thought about walking to it but road blocked by cows....More

I think Kansas is beautiful, so enjoy this stop. It will take an hour or so to drive to this location from a paved highway and return to the pavement. Big thanks to the landowners who voluntarily allow anyone who wishes access to this site....More

This was probably the highlight of our visit to Kansas. It did require some travel on a dirt road to get there, but it was totally worth it. Mt. Sunflower is on private property, but the owners have been gracious enough to allow visitors to...More

Mount sunflower actually has a pretty good view from the top! I was rather surprised but if you're driving by this is a fun quirky stop and it's really great to see the tallest point in Kansas even if it's one step away from Colorado.

The highest point in Kansas is in the middle of nowhere, which is a good reason to love it! This is a very unique place to visit, and they even have a tiny library there.

This is a very remote part of Kansas. it is worth checking off the list if you are a high pointer. Gives a great perspective of the plains around you, even though it truly is only a mild incline from the rest o the terrain....More
