This museum had a lot of collection items from Wizard of Oz.It had wax figures of the characters or some type of fake models of characters in the museum. But this isn't the only Oz museum in Kansas, there's one in Liberal,KS,which in SW Kansas.I thought that one was better because it had someone acting and dressing up as Dorothy.plus every... Loads of memorabilia from the Wizard of Oz and its author, L. Frank Baum. If you take the time to read the placards in the display cases, and watch the videos available, it is very informative of how the movie was cast, and the history of L. Frank Baum. The yellow brick road is across the street, but not very... More

Great museum. Tons of memorabilia and photo ops. Bought a DVD in the gift shop of a documentary about the cast, special effects, history of the actors because we got to watch some of it in the museum. Husband and I enjoyed it. Be sure to stop by the city park you visit Wamego.

Made a little side-visit to the museum on our way to another place. We only stopped at the museum but there is also a tasting room and some other activities in the area. $8 per adult and $5 per student. We told the clerk that my daughter is a student but we were still charged the adult rate because she... More

The museum is filled with Wizard of Oz memorabilia, photo ops and fun Oz facts! Loved that we could wander thru at our pace. Reasonable admission cost. This is our second time, we enjoyed it again! Would recommend it to everyone!

We went yesterday during spring break & had a great time!!! Kids 3 and under are free, which is a good thing because they were much more excited about going to the park afterwards. Being an wizard of oz lover, I enjoyed getting to see everything! It was so neat to see the collection of memorabilia some items were originals... More

"The Wizard of Oz" is my favorite movie, so I just had to insist that my husband and I make a side trip to see the Oz Museum on our way to Dodge City. I thought it was well worth the extra time. Even the outside of the museum--painted in bright greens and golds was quaint. The woman who admitted... More

Small but nicely done. They had some videos about the movies production, not short, but worth sitting and watching.
