I come here on a weekly basis because of the varying terrain of the trails. It's a great workout, and by combining all of the trails and taking a venture out onto the Prairie, I can usually get 4-5 miles in. Dogs unfortunately are not...More

It has been a few years since our last visit but this place is just as beautiful as I remember. There is now an entrance fee but it is minimal ($3 per adult & $1 per child under 12 years old). We really enjoyed walking...More

I love getting outdoors and replenishing my spirit with a simple walk and fresh air. The arboretum is well designed and easily navigated. There's lots of walking trails. The gardens are beautiful. In the winter there is the Luminary Walk that is really fun to...More

The arboretum offers several options for getting outside, all year round. It's only a few minutes south of Overland Park, but makes you feel like you are deep in the wilderness. The trails wind through hardwood forest, up hills, over creeks, around lakes and through...More

Very relaxing place to enjoy nature, art and sunshine. The grounds are very well maintained. Very easy walking on sidewalks. What I appreciated the absence of commercialization, though there was a great gift shop that offered climate control and clean restrooms. Wonderful picnic area and...More

It's such a beautiful park. My mom and I enjoyed the creativity of the little fairy gardens set up in various places. It's such a peaceful place with beautiful scenery. We spent most of our time where the trees were so I would love to...More

If you are looking for a quick "get away to a quiet spot in the forest and to be surrounded with a variety of colorful flowers, plants, streams and a small lake; this is your place. Excellent place for children and a safe environment.

The Arboretum has several different areas to relax and enjoy nature. We really enjoy the hiking trails in back. Trails of varying lengths wind through woods, along streams, beside cliffs. We've run into deer on the longer back trails. Highly recommended.

Yes it's as you come in, in the back of the nature center. I've never eaten there yet they do sell veggies and flowers to plant in your yard and the prices are extremely cheap compared to the garden stores.
