Wonderful element of the Kansas-Rock-Tour. Remanent of the inland ocean that Kansas once was. Huge odd rocks and great hiking trails. Very special site -- whimsical, spiritual or just fun??? Maybe all 3.

I was told about Rock City while in Marysville, KS for a high school reunion. The limestone concretions formed when Kansas was part of the Great Inland Sea are well worth a stop. Some shaded areas for picnicking and restrooms. The lady taking admission was...More

This place is neat to visit. This is not something I would drive far out of my way to get to, but if you're in Salina for some reason then visit if you have time.

I believe you can go all day. They have a charge but we went after hours and no one was there to collect the fee.
