The self-portraits were magnificent, often leaving little to chance knowledge of an individual artist, ie, very much so in depth and poignanant and revealing of a personal flaw or insight.

Dr. Birger Sandzen is the featured artist with his striking and bold landscapes. The gallery is named after him. There are other artists whose art is rotated through the gallery. A small gallery well worth the effort to see and explore. Friendly staff.

Reminiscent of Fauvism, beautiful landscapes joyously celebrating America's rugged West. Cost of admission? Whatever you choose to donate.

Excellent small gallery of painting mostly by the gallery's namesake. I loved his views of the Kansas scenes. His style is mostly impressionistic with wide, bold strokes.

No photos will prepare you for experiencing the works of Sandzen in person! This is a lovely gallery that wonderfully displays some very large paintings by Sandzen. Not until you stand in front of the vivid colors and bold brush strokes, will you understand how...More

This little museum shares with the world the talent of the Swedish born artist Birger Sandzen. The museum is well done and, of course, features Sandzen's oils, water colors and lithographs, but also displays other art.
