This site has a neat history, but it seems that there is no upkeep besides mowing the grounds. Great place to stop and it is so neat to think about the way this family lived.

No real care taken to preserver this old structure. Its old stone foundation blocks and filled with what blows in. Kids go there to drink on the weekends.

Researched the history and found it very interesting. Hard to believe that the family spent two winters in the dugout. It was difficult to find even with a map. We drove past it the first time around. Should be marked with an historical marker.

This is just outside of Lindsborg, but you won't find it if you don't have directions. There is a "map" (sort of) in the visitors guide you can get in town but it is still one of those places you could drive past a million...More
