I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but if it's on the way definitely stop. Like others have said at least you can say you've been there. It's extremely peaceful and totally empty. The sign stated that there were souvenirs in town,...More

I visited here in 2003 on a cross-country trip, and I was saddened to see a large cross outside the chapel with a plaque suggesting that Christ belonged at the center of all nations. That is fine for some Americans, but not for Jewish or...More

There is some controversy as to the "exact" location but it is close enough for me. It is at the end of a lonely road but plenty of plaques and photo ops to make it a fun stop. We were driving from Florida to Utah...More

This is an interesting stop at the end of the road. It is not the exact center of the continental US but that is in someone's field so they made a monument here. It's a great place to stretch your legs and say that you...More

This geographical center place is a fun stop to say you have been here and have the photo to prove it. That is about all, though. We went out of our way to find this, but we like to find something quirky on our trips....More

The actual center is a 1/2 mile away on private property. Not a lot to see here but a plaque/monument and a photo op sign. Kinda expected a big flat monument but oh well it’s off our list now ! We like odd, quirky things...More

Let's get the obvious out of the way - this isn't actually the geographic center of the Contiguous United States. That location is actually on private property about a half mile away. But, come on. Close enough, folks. The drive to the site is beautiful...More

Spent a gorgeous summer sunset here. Beautiful little stretch of forest land in the middle of nowhere. Felt truly Americana and a great excuse for a picnic.

I flew into Lincoln, NE and rented a car to drive the 100-some miles to this well cared for site. As a tourist, it’s neat with the picnic shelter, flag, and monument/marker. Checked it off an odd travel bucket list. While there, a lady from...More

This is truly a one of a kind stop. There is not a lot to do or see, but every thing is in place for some good photos and you have bragging rites that "you have been there". We had a fun stop with our...More

Honestly there's not much to do here. A little plaque, a picnic shelter, and a small chapel. But it was a fun stop just to say you've been at the center of the U.S.

This is of course a unique spot in America. No other place can make this claim. This very rural spot in the US is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. We were visiting friends who live in nearby Red Cloud, so...More

If you have the time for the detour, I would. It’s fun. But you likely won’t spend more than 20 minutes there. And there are no restroom facilities, just FYI. One option might be to get some food to-go and do a picnic lunch... More
