Good event for older kids and families who like to take the time to read. Not a lot of hands on activities for littler kids. The shows that we attended were great for the teens but the elementary aged kids were bored.

The Cosmosphere has so much to offer! The huge omnidome always has a good variety of shows playing. Some are educational while others are more entertaining. There is also a super fun Scince experiment lab that does some really neat hands on demonstrations. And a planetarium for studying the stars and planets. The museum is my favorite! It is like... The Cosomosphere is a days adventure in sights, sounds, shows, and artifacts. Starting with German war technology the museum takes you on a journey though the early days of rocketry, through USSR improvements in rocketry, creation of NASA and their early trials, all the way through manned missions to the moon, and the Space Shuttles, even touching on private companies... We went on a Sunday afternoon - they don't open til 12 on a Sunday you could stay here all day. We saw the documentary Big Dreams and went to the planetarium. Because of reviews we read we didn't do the Dr Goddards lab and chose to spend that time downstairs in the actual museum. There is so much to... More

Visitors are constantly amazed over the quality of the artifacts in this museum. Really, a space museum in the middle of Kansas! It has something for everything, but students 2nd through college, and plenty of adults have something to gain experiencing everything there is to offer. From Science labs, Planetariums, and an overwhelming amount of facts and data to read... More

Enjoyed the museum and shows. History is very interesting and this place did it well. Friendly staff and place was very clean. Excellent place to take a learning child to or an adult expanding their learning experiences.

It is a much larger museum than one would expect in the middle of nowhere, and very smartly organized - basically, a journey through history of space exploration. It is easy to spend the entire day in there, exploring, reading, trying hands-on... Excellent collection of German, Soviet/Russian and US artifacts.

I've never been much interested in space but this museum was extremely interesting! It had a lot about the history behind the space programs that was eye opening to me. I could have skipped the ride in the flight simulator though- it wasn't that thrilling.

My husband and I kept thinking this was such a good place for kids, but after spending an hour here we realized there is plenty for adults. Be sure to opt for the full package that allows you to see the three movies. Unless you have kids, you can skip Dr Goddard's Lab. The movies are super, but unfortunately did... More
