My friends and I made a specific trip to visit the Cosmosphere. We were not disappointed. A very nice collection of American, Russian, and Nazi information and artifacts. A surprising amount of actual/real/genuine artifacts. My friends and I are engineers and took our time looking...More

The seating and the professional projectors will give one an outstanding view, strange feelings, and often motion sickness. The first movie I saw here was about whales and you suddenly find yourself with fins, gills, and a blow hole. After about five minutes of swimming,...More

Whether you are a history buff or a space nut or nasa fan this is a cool place to visit while you are in Hutchinson. Lots of exhibits and interactive things to do. Has a real cool theatre with moving and vibrating seats.

We went with family and friends in a group of about 20 of us and it was the best afternoon spent inside a venue in some time. Just make sure when you go that you have enough time to see everything. Go first thing in...More

The Cosmosphere is one of a kind and on a par with other Smithsonian museums; however, it is much more than just a great space museum. It also is a place of education - where learning is fun and very sophisticated! The Cosmosphere is certainly...More

We spent almost 6 hours exploring this museum. Areas just seem to go on and on with more and more interesting information. Museum contains lots of full size exhibits including early rockets, an actual moon rover and lunar landing module, space suits, etc. There are...More

This could be an amazing museum full of fun and education. The staff didn't really seem to know a lot, from basic questions to running the show. We stood for 20 minutes waiting to get into one theater, as they made a "mistake" in the...More

Good event for older kids and families who like to take the time to read. Not a lot of hands on activities for littler kids. The shows that we attended were great for the teens but the elementary aged kids were bored.

The website says they have activities for kids 2-12, but all the pictures I've seen show mostly older kid-adult exhibitions. Can any parents tell me if this would be a good day trip for 2-3 year olds (who are interested in space ships)? :)
