We went with family and friends in a group of about 20 of us and it was the best afternoon spent inside a venue in some time. Just make sure when you go that you have enough time to see everything. Go first thing in the morning to allow for enough time to see all the sights and to be... More

The Cosmosphere is one of a kind and on a par with other Smithsonian museums; however, it is much more than just a great space museum. It also is a place of education - where learning is fun and very sophisticated! The Cosmosphere is certainly a place that needs to be on your bucket list!

We spent almost 6 hours exploring this museum. Areas just seem to go on and on with more and more interesting information. Museum contains lots of full size exhibits including early rockets, an actual moon rover and lunar landing module, space suits, etc. There are several shows included in the ticket price...a 360 screen film, an interactive lab experience where... This could be an amazing museum full of fun and education. The staff didn't really seem to know a lot, from basic questions to running the show. We stood for 20 minutes waiting to get into one theater, as they made a "mistake" in the show times and it wasn't listed correctly. They finally found someone to run the program... More

Good event for older kids and families who like to take the time to read. Not a lot of hands on activities for littler kids. The shows that we attended were great for the teens but the elementary aged kids were bored.

The Cosmosphere has so much to offer! The huge omnidome always has a good variety of shows playing. Some are educational while others are more entertaining. There is also a super fun Scince experiment lab that does some really neat hands on demonstrations. And a planetarium for studying the stars and planets. The museum is my favorite! It is like... The Cosomosphere is a days adventure in sights, sounds, shows, and artifacts. Starting with German war technology the museum takes you on a journey though the early days of rocketry, through USSR improvements in rocketry, creation of NASA and their early trials, all the way through manned missions to the moon, and the Space Shuttles, even touching on private companies... We went on a Sunday afternoon - they don't open til 12 on a Sunday you could stay here all day. We saw the documentary Big Dreams and went to the planetarium. Because of reviews we read we didn't do the Dr Goddards lab and chose to spend that time downstairs in the actual museum. There is so much to... More

Visitors are constantly amazed over the quality of the artifacts in this museum. Really, a space museum in the middle of Kansas! It has something for everything, but students 2nd through college, and plenty of adults have something to gain experiencing everything there is to offer. From Science labs, Planetariums, and an overwhelming amount of facts and data to read... More
