The road to the tower seemed a little iffy, but it was a pretty cool drive through the trees. The tower has some sketchy stairs and ladder, but it was definitely worth climbing for the gorgeous view! The city park that this sits in is...More

I found out about Clark Tower through Tripadvisor and was lucky enough to be in the area last weekend. My GPS got me lost, but I managed to find the correct entrance to the park. Once in the park, you follow a one way road...More

Visited Clark Tower in Spring. Walked the 1.4 mile path-a nice walk if you are prepared for it. With kids or older folks I’d suggest driving. Does involve stairs and a steep ladder to get to the top. Great view and great for picture taking.

Whether driving or hiking, this lovely little watch tower is a landmark that could be easily missed for locals and tourists alike. I think you're completely missing out if you don't take in the trail and check out this pretty tower.

I enjoyed stopping here while checking out the bridges in the county. Cool structure and great photo op. Climbing to the top revealed a great view as well.

This is tucked in the back of the Winterset City Park. It is a nice drive through the woods, or a beautiful walk. Looking past the typical teenage graffiti, it is a beautiful tower, which had 2 levels. Climbing to the top level is via...More

It was our second visit to the Clark Tower. We returned with friends. The views from the top are gorgeous. The drive up is beautiful.

Clark Tower is in the park in town near two of the bridges. You can drive to it or take a short walk to it.

I would not recommend biking. It is very windy, narrow, and rough terrain.

Sure I wouldn't see a problem it is in an open area and no one is really around.
