The Kawona beach bar is just awsome. The owner and his wife are very friendly. The place is stunning. The road to come here from Waitabula is good and in there are a parking place also. Nice to swim with the low tide. Highly recommend.

Kawona beach is located in the South West Sumba district, 20 minutes drive from the government offices area. The beach was so quiet you feel like it is yours. It is a perfect spot for a swim. We didn't catch the sunset because the beach is not exactly facing the west. The road towards the beach is bumpy, I hove the local government fix it. It is accessible by car and motorbike. No parking lot, so you need a good eye to find a space fits your vehicle. I have been here twice. The first time. the tide is high, it looks like an ordinary beach, nothing special but the peace and quietness. But, the second time, the tide was low, it was great. The rocks covered in green algae have been an interesting accessories. The beach looks more special.
