LeClaire, Iowa. It's a special place. A place where life on the land is intimately married to the flow of the waters. For centuries, people here have looked to the water for a sense of calm, a spirit of enjoyment and a connection to a heritage that is uniquely their own. That marriage of land and water is now embodied in a different kind of spirit. The Mississippi River Distilling Company hand craft Vodka, Gin, Whiskey, and Specialty Spirits slow and pure near the banks of the Mississippi River. Born from the finest grains, harvested just up the hill from the distillery. It’s a spirit born of land and water that draws each of us curiously back to a different era. Made for you, not for for the masses.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one bartender. So wait was long and outside tables were not cleared of empty glasses. To be a success they need waiters to take table orders and clean up. Drinks were reasonable.More

Tour is around 15 minutes followed by sample of 2 of their products. Also have a bar where you can try some of their products. Maple bourbon was good as well as the coffee one and the big peach.

We're sorry to hear our staff was less then attentive. Certainly you will notice from the other comments that is not our norm. We hope you try us again sometime. Hope you enjoy the spirits.

We really enjoyed the tour and the history of the startup of this young business. The Iowish Cream Liquor is very, very good. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating.
