My husband and I really enjoyed our trip through the historical village. There was a large variety of buildings that reflected another day and time. It was a hot day and air conditioning could be found in two buildings. Well worth the trip!

Great museum with a lot of local historical items! Highly recommended. Be sure to join them for their fall festival. Numerous vendors and displays make this a great family outing.

We really enjoyed our time at the villiage. They have done a nice job of recreating a mid-19th century town. The staff if very friendly. The man we met at the museum was most interesting and answered all of our questions.

Kalona was settled by Mennonites and Amish, and the historical village tells their story, as well as the more general one of small-town eastern Iowa. The main building is a Mennonite/Amish museum, and on the property are a number of buildings that have been moved...More

Self guided with nice recorded messages at most buildings. Ladies in Mennonite archives very knowledgeable. Lady from gift shop took us to see the Wahl house. Sad that Wahl museum is closed.
