Even this church has been without a roof for a very long time, the remaining paintings are astonishing. Take your time to see them. The inside is recently restored.

As you enter, you can advance near the external niche beautifully painted in a style that is rare /unique in this region. The inside painting is nice as well and you can see the founder, Luca Arbore boyar.

unlike the others painted churches from North Moldavia, this one was built by an noblemen named Arbore. The church is a beautiful work of art situated in a place full of tranquility.

another pretty monastery with well preserved paintings (they were actually doing something inside when we visited, so technically should look even better soon). do not wear shorts above knees (esp. women) because they will give you a piece of material to cover your lusty legs.

An architectural monument, extraordinary by simplicity and beauty found in a mirific region of Romania. The painter who worked inside came from Florence . The church was founded by Luca Arbore, chief nobleman under three princes of Moldova

The painted churches of Bucovina are world-famous. Each one has its charm, but Arbore is special because the XVI Century painter who did the interior of the church had just come back from a trip to Florence. Thus, whereas all seven other Bucovina UNESCO World...More
