We enjoyed watching a barge go thru the lock and dam from the scenic bluff overlooking the mighty Mississippi. The pelicans were entertaining us also as we watched the river from above. Beautiful park with scenic ADA accessible trails and great picnic shelters are in this beautiful historic park.

This is a lovely park. The park has many original structures built by the W.P.A. in the depression. Although not Frank Lloyd Wright they are in his 'style' These are fantastic.Anyone who likes this type of architecture should really visit. The walk along the river bluffs is very good as well. It's a great place to spend an hour or... More

We live in Dubuque and it is a great place to have a picnic, or a party in one of the many pavilians. It is a great place for children to run and play on the swings and jungle gyms. Our 4 yr. old granddaughter loves the park. She can play on the swings, watch the boats and look at... More

Overlooking the locks is a highlight but the cleanliness of the park was a good tribute to the city.

Huge park with buildings done by WPA. Stunning views of the Mississippi. While we were there we were fortunate to see 2 bald eagles and watch a barge go through the lock.

We watched the barges navigate through the lock from this amazing vantage point! Scenic overlooks all along the river bluffs and it only costs $1.00 per car to enter.

If you are visiting, you must stop here. Beautiful view of Mississippi river and Lock & Dam 10. It costs $1 per vehicle.

Great view of the Mississippi minus the cyclone fencing. (Really, if the Grand Canyon can have wood fences, so can Dubuque). Lots of space, a rentable pavilion, playground and bandshell make this the town's crown jewel. If you want to avoid the $1 vehicle fee, take the 15 min walkway up.

Went here by bus, so we couldn't be there long. If you want a great look at the Mississippi River and #11 lock, please go. Would like to spend more time there.

Excellent overview of the river, city, and lock and dam. Beautiful area for picnic and park area. Would definitely go back and take my children.
