The arboretum is well maintained. Parking lot is right at the entry to the arboretum. We were there in early evening and small gnats swarmed around our heads - - we didn't get very far into the arboretum and had to leave.

Enjoyed finding the names of trees and plants that I would like to have in my own garden/yard. It was a beautiful summer morning with no other people around.

I have been to a couple other arboretums in Iowa so that kind of spoiled this for me, as they are a lot nicer. However, this one was free and I had to pay for the others. I think if they did have people pay...More

Our son took his prom date to the arboretum for pictures. A tribute to the beauty of the place was the fact that there must have been a couple hundred people there. Boys in tuxes, girls in gorgeous dresses and family and friends all posing...More

Good way to see different species of plants, especially Hostas. Not as pristine and well kept as it has been in the past but still worth a look!
