We came here for the Theater and decided to enjoy a real "Homespun Meal". If you are wanting to sample some Amish food right off the farm, you will find it here. Leave you "Diet plan" at the door and loosen your belt cause they will fill you up. The shops here have a great variety of items that will... More

Walked around the area and checked out the goods in the shops while waiting for the show to start in the Round Barn Theater on a recent fall visit. I think that is the best time to visit here, or anywhere else in the area, because there is not as much crowds or traffic compared to summer. Also, we were... More

I hadn't ate at this restaurant in years. We opted for family style. The give you ham and beans first that they advertise as thick. It was not, as a matter of fact it was pretty watered down. We got the chicken and roast beef. The chicken was okay and the roast beef was just okay. Nothing there wowed me.

Had lunch at Amish Acres during off season so crowds weren't an issue. Price for their thresher's dinner was 18.95 per person but food and non-alcoholic beverages are unlimited. Gift shop and other attractions are available as well. Food was very good and we felt like we got our money's worth. It was quiet but in season I can see... More

Very nice facilities but staff seem uninterested in visitors. Only one lady in the store was smiling and helpful. Everyone else seemed bored. Visited years ago and I remember it as a warm and charming place with great food. Brought my sisters so they could experience it and was very disappointed.

Bought a package which included the musical Fiddler on the Roof at the round barn theatre, a Thrashers supper, and tours of the grounds. Musical was excellent. Thought the seating was uncomfortable for such a long production. The grounds are very interesting, containing an Amish home and school house for you to visit, and there are several shops. The meal... More

We loved the idea of learning about Amish customs. The people at Amish Acres are very friendly and knowledgeable. The actual attractions seem warn. We loved the theatre. The Thresher's meal at the restaurant was ho-hum...and hot foods were at best tepid.

We are happy to hear that you had a good experience although it seems our food was not up to par for your visit. We will continue to monitor our temperatures to ensure our food is hot when it is delivered to your table in the future! More

Was there 25 years ago and seems the same. The buildings are mostly original old buildings which have been moved here. The shops pretty much sold all the same things at high prices. Some of the goods are local and much are made elsewhere. There were some good relishes, pickles and jams as well as Amish bonnets and hats and... More

We are thankful to hear that you had a good experience during your visit. It is great to hear from guests that discover our theatre and the professional productions we put on our stage. We will do better, however, on the service you received in the restaurant during your stay. Thank you for your review. More

Stopped by for a visit. Were disappointed because the entire experience seemed too commercial or tourist trap-ish. Although there were many traditional Amish crafts for sale they seemed expensive and were mixed in with non Amish commercial products. Several handmade quilts had price tags of $665! That was pretty steep. Glad we stopped just to see the grounds and walk... More

Thank you for your review of Amish Acres. I am disappointed that you felt our site was too commercial for your taste as we strive to be exactly the opposite of that. Amish Acres is a family business that was started by the owner almost 50 years ago and many buildings and items have remained unchanged in the almost five... More

We visited Amish Acres decorated for the fall. The decorations were really awesome. There are a number of old buildings used for speciality items, 2 of them were dedicated to homemade fudge and other candies and another one for cheese. Once you taste the fudge your hooked. We walked way with a number of bags of candy. There is also... More
