My first fort in Oman, and as others have said, the outside may not be very impressive, but the inside is great. Rooms are restored, some furnished, and some have architectural decorations. And the ticket guy, with his dates and coffee (and complimenting my Arabic) made it very welcoming.

Al Hazm Castle was built around the beginning of the 18th century, it had been under renovation for a few years and was recently re-opened to the public. The castle has ground floor, first floor, and roof top, each floor has its function, they exhibit kitchen pots and pans, jails, and prison tower, Quran classroom, living quarters and canons. That was interesting sight to see how they lived long ago. Happy Travelling!
