This gem is located in a residential area on 80 acres, about 7 miles from the heart of the City. Donated by and named after the family of John Holliday, founder of the now-defunct afternoon Indianapolis Times newspaper. Backing up to White River on the...More

I have nothing against Holliday Park, per se. It has a nice little nature center, some very pretty trails along the White River and the very interesting "The Ruins," a notable sculpture garden. However, the park has become notorious for predators--human type. I've taken my...More

This is an amazing park...I have no problems with the park itself. Gorgeous! But our purses were stolen out of our car in broad daylight and we were within eyesight of the car. There are definitely organized criminals that prowl the park looking for opportunities...More

We just love this park. The additions of the nice bathrooms in the ruins and the fountains is so welcome. Port a Potties at playground area icky and reek of air freshener. Playgrounds are wonderful.

Brisk fall hike today at Holiday Park. There were several trails and a nature center. Fun playground for kids too!

Sure there are lots of parks throughout the city. And they all have something to offer. But Holliday Park is special. It's nestled in the middle of the north side of the city but once you wander in, it's like you're a hundred miles away...More

We love the trails, the playground, the statues, etc. The nature center is also awesome and you can very easily spend a few hours walking around and exploring. I have seen several photographers here as well taking pictures, so it is great for that too!

If you've been to Holliday Park but you've never gone on the trails, you're missing out on more than half of the things to do. One trail takes you right down to the river where there's a safe spot to swim when the water is...More

This park is in the city but has a wonderful trail along the river that makes you feel you are in the wilderness. Great nature center and a playground for the little ones. It’s a real treasure. And then there’s those “ruins”.

We decided to visit Holliday Park while we were in town for the weekend, specifically on a Friday morning/afternoon. There are multiple places to park, depending on where exactly you want to go. It is a pretty big park, with lots of trees (for shade)...More

Yes, many around the park, across from the park, many shaded areas there and around the nature center. My family and I have spent many glorious days having picnics and hiking adventures there.
