We recommend a visit to the monument and to the museum. This is another of Indy's best bet, and we have visited several times. We shall return.

One of the more impressive monuments I've seen in person, not just in size but in details and information. Highly recommend taking some time to walk around the monument to see the detail and read about the various statues and carvings. I didn't have time...More

Found out the elevator was closed with no date given for reopening. You cannot take the stairs if the elevator is not working.

On it's own, the monument's stature is impressive and is quite beautiful. I enjoyed looking at the sculptures on all sides of it and it's surrounding pools. The museum inside, while not huge, is of a decent size and have some nice exhibits and there...More

Maybe not the kind of place to go multiple times, but worth a visit at least once, especially in the summer, as it is quite cool here in the basement of the monument.

My husband and i have never been here and was neat to check out. Didnt realize it was a tower you could climb and a museum underneath, so that was great to explore! Cant wait to bring the kids here!

The memorial was just around the corner from my hotel and was quite impressive when looking out and being in the center of the street/end. I walked down and loved the statues and plaques that told the history of the war.

This museum is located in the base of the soldiers and sailors monument. There is no charge to enter. I was expecting a single room with a few artifacts, but instead got a journey through the Civil War.

we were escorted - thanks to our kind host. But I distinctly remember he parked at the Mall in close vicinity - there was not an inch on the Monument circle.

Sully06, the museum is under the big monument on monument circle in downtown Indy, and has, as you can imagine, a circular street all around it, like a big roundabout, but with stop lights. The only parking is in garages... More
