Intrigued by the POW Exhibition

I recently visited for a conference and stumbled upon the Italian POW Exhibition. Engaging and very well executed. To all those involved in this exhibit, very well done!

First, a disclaimer - have been a member of IHS for nine years so, in a way, am a part owner. I belong mainly because I want to support the society's publishing efforts - they have and continue to produce some fine Indiana history titles and they have a pretty good Indiana history focused book and gift shop. The also... More

We stumbled into here to get out of the rain so had no idea what to expect. This place is amazing! They do a mix of standard presentations of information (though they use interactive touchscreens incredibly well) through to live scenarios from times in the past with actors playing the parts who interact with you. You chat with them and... More

This is a wonderful local museum with lots of character and interesting exhibits. They make full use of their large space and are right next to the canal. With a delicious cafe on the canal level, it's worth the trip! Has a parking lot too, with reasonable pricing.

The architecture and natural light throughout the building make this place a wonderfully stunning location for learning about various aspects of Indiana history. Rotating exhibits, some of them live action with actor/characters make each visit unique in at least some aspects. It's a great location and within walking distance of a whole variety of attractions.

They had a series of exhibits with actors who where supposed to be in-charactor of the earlier times. Some were and some were not. The Ball Canning Exhibit was informative and the ladies running it were good. The best thing was the T.C. Steele exhibition.

Beautiful building with interesting exhibits that take you back in time . These exhibits periodically change and offer a glimpse into some aspect of Indiana history. I thought the exhibits were nicely done and gave the visitor the chance to ask questions which were answered by a museum staff member attired in the clothing of the era. Brought history alive... When in the area recently we saw a Groupon for this attraction and decided to give it a try. The Festival of Trees was going on while we were there and even though it was after Christmas we had a good time looking at all the different trees. The singer that was there that day had an incredible voice and... More

We had no idea the interior of this building was so stunning! We visited to see the Festival of Trees, 72 gorgeous trees decorated by various organizations and businesses in Indy. But we also discovered the glamorous Cole Porter room with player grand piano and a lovely singer. There were "step back in time" exhibits. You could visit Col Lilly... More
