Home to over 2,000 animals and Indiana's largest aquarium, this 64-acre zoo has lions, elephants and other wild animals roaming through natural settings. A special petting area allows children to touch, but not feed, the tamer animals. There's also the world's largest enclosed dolphin show and a roller-coaster for all ages to enjoy.

The Indy Zoo is a hometown favorite! We go every summer and never miss Christmas at the Zoo. The zoo is large enough to offer a wide variety of animals but not so large that the kids get too tired to enjoy it. Don't miss...More

The zoo has a nice lay out and many animals. There is ample parking. My favorite part are the lights at Christmas. It is a little pricey. There are lots of extras that you can enjoy like the train. There are also areas too cool...More

The Indianapolis Zoo is one of our favorite places to go. The facilities are clean, the staff friendly, and the zoo’s setup makes the animals easy to see and admire. A must when going to Indianapolis!

Not much at this zoological garden. There were tigers and penguins, an orangutan exhibit and dolphin tank, but not much else. Good for the kiddies if they haven't seen a good zoo.

The zoo has a butterfly Pavillion and 1000's of labeled botanicals. It is not a very large zoo but it does have rides, a petting zoo and a dolphin pavilion too. It's located just west of downtown Indianapolis.

We revisited the zoo today with our two granddaughters and were pleasantly surprised. During the afternoon hours, you nearly have the place to yourself. But when the sun is gone, families show up to view the millions of tiny Christmas lights, while visiting the animals...More

Of all the things in Indianapolis to do it’s the zoo. I’ve lived here my whole life and I never get tired of going there. There’s always something new and I’m always happy to see the old.

It is a bit expensive, but it is well done... The Christmas village and Zoo are all decorated for the holiday season. Lots of lights, decorations, and activities... It was a great way to see the zoo at night and good family fun...

Best to arrive late afternoon to see the animals and avoid the crowds. But you'll want to be there for at least an hour after dark to get the full effect of the lights.
