I took my 7yr old son and my 57yr old sister who is a teacher. She was reluctant about the price, but I swear she enjoyed it more than my son. We split up and she went to the movie presentations where she learned more about space exploration. My son and I did all the hands on activity. He loved... More

We are members of the Children's Museum and love it. There is always something new and interesting to see. The also offer shows and classes. The planetarium and theater is included in the admission ticket - but the theater only has shows during a few weeks per year. If you can come more than twice during a year - get... More

Advice, go early in the day, (there's a parking garage.....)when they first open to eliminate lines and crowds. Very good experience. Lots to see. Great area for little ones with water and sand.

First, this place is huge. The. most amazing kids museum I have ever been to. My boy loves dinosaurs and the exhibit was incredible. Dig area was very clean but small. Amazing display of fossils, very immersive. The chocolate slide was a blast and the China exhibit was very well done. We spent tons of time on the 3rd level... More

We had visited when my boys were 6 and 8. Now they are 8 and 10, and we still had such a great time. We arrived at opening time (purchase tickets in advance online--SO much cheaper.) We played and visited exhibits until about noon. We ate lunch at the food court ($40 for a family of four--not too bad.) We... More

Spent over 3 hours exploring the museum and still didn't see everything. The kids loved it and had many activities for them to enjoy.

this was the main reason we came. rated #1 we had to do it. loved the chihuly for kids but was slightly dissapointed with the amount of museum like floors. my kids wanted to play, not look at the history of kids games through glass. I think it was 50/50 with educational reading and hands on activities.

We took the kids for a family fun day to Indy while going to pick up something in central Indiana from a friend. Our 20 month and 3.5 year old had a ball. Our son was passed out as we finished our day!

We love the Children's Museum, and try to visit whenever we traveling to or through Indianapolis. My children are getting older now (boys ages 9 and 12), but they still enjoy the museum. While admission is expensive, parking is free, as is most everything else the museum offers, including the planetarium, children's theater, and climbing wall (which is not usually... More

Enjoyed all aspects of the museum. Our favorites were the doll house area and the Chinese kitchen. We also enjoyed the Anne Frank exhibit and the Ruby Bridges Story. The shark tank was interesting even though the sharks wouldn't come to us.
