We went on a weekday in July, about 1:30 in the afternoon. Two stalls in the entire facility we open, neither of which offered more than snack or refreshment, no meals or even sandwiches. A cavernous, airplane hanger-like structure with nothing else to recommend it. Parking is where you find it, not free.

We stopped by to hopefully grab lunch. There were a few places open but the place was pretty empty. Nothing caught our eye to try. Parking was also hard to find, the street parking is unavailable till the evening. We found lunch somewhere else, don't waste your time.

The space is not nearly as large as it appears in the pic. There were no produce or meat market stalls. There were several prepared food stalls and one sort of flea market stand (that was fine). We were expecting an actual market but it was sort of a food court. It might be a good place for lunch, but it is not a market.

We went on a Saturday and like three stalls were open. Definitely a waste of time for our experience. We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch and just kind of walk around and check out independent shops. This was not it at all.

On Saturday morning with the downtown area hopping--and I mean hopping with a 5K run and once-a-year art market going on and a function on the upper floor--this place was D-E-A-D. We went for lunch hoping to score something really good and found half--and I mean half--the food vendors closed. And we weren't early--it was about 12:30 p.m. How do these guys stay in business if they sleep in on Saturday? This was a disappointment.

Trip Advisor listed as open - sign on door indicated closed since March 1st for major renovations. Took six block walk in iffy weather to simply have to return to hotel.

A lot of the vendors were closed at lunchtime on a weekday. Not much to choose from. You may have a better selection outside of the market.

The website has open til 4pm, everyone closed and gone by 3pm
Over 75% of places were vacant.
Would not waste time to check it out.

When I read about this place they said it was open until 9pm, so we didn't think anything about going around 5pm on a Friday night...but be warned! There were maybe 3 or 4 vendors open and none of them looked at us or showed any interest in trying to get us to come check them out. We also didn't do enough research to realize that the catacombs are only open in the summer. There also weren't any vendors set up on the top floor like we had read about. So our plan to spend the entire evening turned out to be a major bust. I now know that week day lunch is the best time to go or summer maybe.

It is great to see so many choices of food and delicatessen downtown Indianapolis, few minutes walk from the monument circle. I was a bit surprised to see a lot of shops closed on Saturday morning, didn't understand yet when is the best moment to go. They also have sweets, crepes and macarons ! For sure you'll find a snack that suits you to take away or to eat seated on the 2nd floor.
