Unbelievably beautiful, peaceful Monastery. We can only imagine how much more beautiful it is with the flowers, bushes and trees in bloom and/or at night. The Sisters are unfailingly perfect hostesses of their incredible home. The architecture and history alone are worth the stop and time to tour. HIGHLY recommended.

One of the most beautiful places anywhere. The architecture is unbelievable and the Benedictine Sisters are the most welcoming hosts. Tours are very well thought out. The history of this treasure is well worth the stop.

The Monastery of the Immaculate Conception is a beautiful convent on the hill in Ferdinand, Indiana. The Sisters of St. Benedict offer tours most days and you can always visit the stunning beautiful church which was built in the 1920s. In 2015, the sisters opened a brewery, St. Benedict's Brew Works, on campus near the gift shop. It's usually open... More

The sisters are very friendly and reminded us that the brewery on the property is now open also!... More

There was a large meeting that day, so we were not able to take a tour, but we were able to walk around the grounds and go inside the church. It is lovely and the grounds are pristine. The adjacent (and ancient) cemeteries are interesting and provide interesting history.

Walked around and got inside to see church. Beautiful building, both inside and outside. The dome is neat to see from the distance. Very pretty church/monastery.

The monastery and grounds are worth the trip any time of the year. Only about 5 minutes north of 64. Take the time to stop. You will not regret it.
