Description:

Located in Downtown Evansville, Indiana, The Koch Family Children's Museum...

Located in Downtown Evansville, Indiana, The Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville (cMoe) offers over 18,000 square feet of galleries and exhibits, housed in a beautiful historic Art Deco building once home to the public library. The mission of the museum is to spark the curious minds and imaginations of children and their families through dynamic exhibits, programs, and activities. Museum staff and supporters strive to meet that mission everyday by encouraging young minds to explore all that cMoe offers and experience learning through play. Children (and their parents) are encouraged to play hands-on with galleries and exhibits. Popular favorites include performing a play in the 5th Street Theater, splashing in the Wet Deck, climbing through Moe the two-story duck, playing the laser harp, acting like a booger in a giant nose, and chatting with the talking Mark Twain bust. cMoe is located within walking distance to downtown restaurants and other attractions. Hours of Operation Tuesday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Noon to 5 p.m. CLOSED MONDAYS

CMOE is a great and wonderful adventure for children as they explore and play and make their way through the amazing ins and outs of the exhibits. I adore that the exhibits are so nice, fun, and educational. My kids absolutely love it! However, the plastics room on the 3rd floor could really use some attention, or at least could... More

Beautiful museum! Lots of interesting features for the kiddos. I appreciated the benches for parents to sit. I did notice it was very hot in areas and that a lot of exhibits were needing some repair. Gift shop area had good prices for youngsters with a few dollars to spend on a field trip!

We visited twice and had fun each time. The water play area is small compared to other Children's Museums we have seen. Our grandson had a blast and there were hardly any people there mid-week.

This is a great attraction for families with younger children (toddlers to preschool, possibly younger elementary aged children) but not as fun for older children. I love that they are breastfeeding friendly! There are a lot of activities for kids to do but the water room is our favorite - just be prepared for you and your kids to get... More

Both from a parent's point-of-view and as a teacher, this is an outstanding museum. Everything works and is fun to try. On top of that, it is all an educational experience. Even the toilet (upstairs) has an educational explanation of feces! Our entire group of adults and children had a lot of fun. Expect to spend a couple of hours... More

Came here on a cold day to get some energy out and there was so much to keep our 2 year old entertained. It seemed to have all kinds of toys for all age groups and some activities for more advanced kids too like building a bridge or putting car parts together. There were so many different things to do... More

We visited here during our Christmas vacation with our two year old son and had a blast. Tickets were reasonably priced, and our son kept running to and from the different areas within the museum. Each area was well kept and allowed our son to experience different types of activities. It was unique, too, experiencing it all in an old... More
