I've been a repeat visitor to the Ruthmere Mansion and it's always a pleasure. Ruthmere has so many attractions going on. Events I've loved are the Tea Party, The coffee on the Plaza, and of course the tours. I highly recommend this attraction.

The tour guides are accommodating and knowledgeable. The architecture is fascinating. I liked the servants' quarters and the various technical advancements for the time period. The best part (IMHO) is the rotating floor in the garage. The cars are nice too. :)

But the home can be viewed and photographed from the street. And it is beautiful. Landscape needs refreshing and grounds cleared of fallen tees and debris before opening the home to guests.

The Ruthmere Mansion is a tour de force of design, craftsmanship and materials well worth the guided tour. The surround shower in the master bathroom was particularly attractive and decadent to a visitor from California. Most surprising was seeing what may be one of the...More

Oh. Yes. And they have a beautiful old home down the street for weekend retreats. All within walking distance of the gorgeous Wellfield Botanical Gardens, too. And downtown. And parks.
