The Whitewater Valley Railroad runs between Connersville and Metamora. The railroad is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of a 1950s era of branch line railroading

For those of you trying to choose between this and French Lick for the Polar Express, it is a toss up. The WVR train is certainly more authentic, in much better condition, and the ride is longer. The Santa was better, too. The Santa on...More

We had 2 adults and 1 child and we had a blast! It was about 2 and a half hours and perfect. We brought blankets. They served hot chocolate and cookies on the ride. They also had a gift shop inside the train station.

A group of us rode the Polar Express, and granted we are in our 20's we were making a date night out of it. We enjoyed the book as kids and still enjoy watching the movie each year. We were treated horribly because we were...More

We took the Western train to dinner and really enjoyed it. The Cowboys providing the on-board and after dinner entertainment were fun. The train cars are nice although they don't "match". On the way to Laurel for dinner, we were stopped by a very large...More

Anyone interested the WVR 2017 schedule and has questions can check it out at (765) 825-2054 or Google their website. I recommend the excursion train if you have a whole day to enjoy the ride and stopover in Metamora.
