Drove by to take pictures of this roadside attraction just across the river in IN., 2nd Largest clock that still keeps time on the side of the previous Colgate Factory. It can be seen while crossing the river as well on the bridge it's that large.

The clock has been atop the old Colgate circa 1890 building since 1924, is 40 feet across and ranks among one of the largest clocks in the world. It can be seen from up to 2 miles away and more interestingly... it still works! Lit up at night. Neat little roadside stop!

It is a big clock. If you want to see a big clock, go for it. It is not interesting architecture. It is not scientifically important. It lacks historical significance. It sits among some warehouses.

It's a clock. A very big clock, but still, it's a clock. The building itself has a history as an old prison, Colgate mfg, etc, but unless your amazed by standing outside staring up at a clock, you'll be disappointed, it doesn't chime, doesn't ring, no flashing lights, no music, lights up red at night, tics, tocs and that's about it. If you like clocks or have a desire to see one of the largest in the world it may be something you'd enjoy seeing. No access to it's mechanics or the building itself so you'll have to park across the street and just look. It can be seen from interstate 65 north as you cross the Ohio River , but, still, it's a clock

We wanted to see the clock and building, so we drove here, parked in the parking lot, and took photos. There really isn't anything else to do here, but that is what we went here for.

You can see this monster size clock from a lot of different places. It glows red and still keeps time, but to be honest the building history is better. This used to be a prison before Colgate/Palmolive turned it into a factory. It is no longer a factory and the are is a but sketchy but it's still cool to drive by

Apart of history, nice to see at night or visit during the day. The building was once Indiana state penitentiary.

Very quick drive by but cool to see. There are a few other things to see in this area so while you’re there take a look.

We made a quick stop here as it was on the way to dinner from our hotel in Clarksville. The area is a little sketchy, with the sprawling and empty Colgate Palmolive plant taking up most of the surrounding area. But it was easy and convenient to make a quick stop and snap a few photos.

I saw references to tours on this site and may check that out in the future.
