I took the grand kids and believe it or not they had a good time!
They really listened to the guide telling us all about the skirmishes there and some of the people involved.
We had seen the sign on Indiana 62 for years and they finally asked about it.
they learned about the people that had hid in the tunnel and how the mill kept grinding corn and other grains all through the war to supply food for the soldiers and all of the neighbors.

I didn't know this existed until a month ago. They are only open during special events such as the candlelight tours near the holiday/Christmas season. It's a bit out in the boonies so to speak but worth a visit. The docents are extremely nice and try to answer all questions. T it's amazing the discoveries one makes near their home after many years. If you are a history buff of any sort you may want to take a look.
