There are many small boutique type shops, great local and regional restaurants, the Monon Trail, in the summer live concerts. So much to see and do in a mid-size city in Indiana.

We walked around the Arts District at around 10:30 on a Sunday and very few of the shops were open. It seemed most things opened at noon, so plan accordingly. The area is lovely though, with lots of shops and restaurants and sculpture.

This is a nice (mostly) shaded walk way for walkers and bikers. At Carmel center, it runs into Main Street with restaurants, and businesses. It is a great place to hang out for families.
