The architecture is splendid and the visitor centre explains the construction and use of the temple. The temple itself is completely silent unlike other temples. Probably best to visit on a sunny day to get the true splendour.

it had been many decades since I visited Baha'i House of Worship. I went in so the gardens were not at its peak ( summer is truly best for that). The building itself has beautiful designs inside and outside - I only took pictures outside

The Baha'i was absolutely breathtaking. The intricate carvings on the outside and the high ceilings inside took my breath away. I loved the message that the people who worship here spread and I was warmly welcomed when I visited. The grounds are beautiful and well...More

Highly recommended! Without reservation. The story of the building this lovely house of worship is very interesting. It was a true labor of love. The architecture is outstanding, both on the inside and out. The building is beautiful and photographically highly interesting.

As the skyscrapers of the city gradually fall away while traveling north, this magnificent structure peacefully punctuates the blue expanse of the sky. Approaching it by car is a fascinating voyage, brought to fruition only by getting and and walking among its pristine steps to...More

Its history is interesting. The founder of this world religion approached Theodore Roosevelt, Kaiser Wilhelm of German and many other world leaders for funds. The building and gardens are one of a kind and the setting next to Lake Michigan is superb. There are films,...More

An absolute blessing of a space in this otherwise very troubled and distant world. Kudos to this bastion of peace, where folks practice actually what they preach. Exemplary on all fronts.

If you take the expressway to Lake Street in Wilmette and then go east, between 35 and 40 minutes so long as it is not in rush hour.
