We stopped here while visiting the Tinley Park area and ended up spending a couple hours and did'nt even get to go on all the trails, very educational and beautiful grounds and gardens

Wonderful venue to learn about the flora and fauna of northern Illinois. Wonderful easy walking paths through the woods and along ponds and sloughs. Exhibit hall is fun , full of history and exhibits

2 buildings. The original and the updated visiter center museum. We prefer to visit the newer building first then visit the original school house next door. If weather permits the site has numerous walking trails. Check out the working pay telephone booth on the grounds...More

Since the new building has been completed (several years now) we were able to enjoy with all of the grandkids. Really well done and the walking trails add to the experience.
