We visited this museum recently with my 90 year old father who reminisced about his evacuee days and cycling to the airfield to watch planes taking off!! This exhibition has a variety of artefacts and planes to appeal to all interests. My father liked the planes and "military' aspect, I liked the social and Life at home information whilst my... More

What a lovely find with friendly helpful staff, really enjoyed looking round here with everything explained on little cards and people on hand to answer questions. Everything is kept pristine and the place has a really nostalgic feel. Lovely little coffee shop to have a rest before you look round the second muesuem just as informative as the first. Set... We came to visit this museum because of our sons interest for spitfires and because of the historical value of such a museum. There is a lot to see and our son made a lot of pictures. You also can sit for a cup of coffee. Recommendable!

What a find! Optional donation, no ticket entry price. Rare Spitfire and Hurricane on display. Fascinating memorabilia with personal stories. Everything clearly displayed and some very rare and unusual items. A real eye opener for me. A great cafe too, home made cakes and hot meals. Squeaky clean with lovely friendly and informative staff present.

My son and I spent several hours in this great museum. My son (11) is interested in WW2 history and mechanical engineering. I am a fan of the Spitfire. I know without the Spitfire the UK would be a very different place today. The place is full of interesting artifacts. We needed to spend a Saturday morning in Kent and... More

We were on our way home after a stay in Broadstairs, decided to have a look at the museum and get a welcomed cup of tea. The museum is free to enter which we were so surprised at, but donations are welcomed. The museum was absolutely amazing, my husband was left in his own world of wonder & memories. So... More

This FREE entry museum is a wonderful find. It looks small from the outside but so much is packed into a compact space. There is an original WWII Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane besides many other artefacts and treasures of the period. Some of the items in the Museum are reminders of forgotten episodes in the War such as the... More

What a great way to look back on our war history and see first hand some of the war memorabilia. There are some wonderful tails to read about the brave men and wemen who gave their lives for their country. There are 2 aircraft, a spitfire and a huuicane, that took part in the war. For the older generation it... More
