The waterfall is truly amazing and beautiful. The water is too cold. You can take a bath there. Stay aware of monkeys as they take things like mobile, cap, food, towel etc.

On the northern slopes of the Gandhamardan hills is the temple of Nrusinghanath located 165 km from Sambalpur. The hills of the Gandhmardan are considered as sacred as the historical temple that lies on them . Although the temple dates back to the 14th century, many historians claim a more ancient past to the place ascribing it to be an important Buddhist pilgrimage centre during the 5th century that was even visited by Hiuen T’sang. Mythological references of the hills are found in the Ramayan where the hills that are said to have possessed some magical herbs is carried to Lanka by Lord Hanuman to have the injured Lord Ram & Laxman treated.

It is really a marvelous waterfall. And also a very exciting place for picnic. The water here is medicated as it comes through many herbs which r considered as medicine in science. Also the water of the fall is crystal clear.Besides the fall there are many other places too to visit.Like there is a beautiful garden where many types of rose plants are planted. Also in the garden there is a big statue of lord Hanuman.children used to enjoy here very much.In the garden many beautiful scenes of the tales of lord krishna are constucted. There is a small market where many handloom things are seen.At Nrusimhanath one can also visit the temple of lord shiva and goddess parvati. In the afternoon the visitors may be blessed with prasadam of the lords which is very delicious. It is so beautiful that if one once visits must want to come again and again.
