Historically, this sight gives us a lot to think about and something to pursue learning more about and imagining people coming there from across the whole country long ago....

I went on the golden circle tour by bus. Iceland Excursions was the tour company and Greyline was the bus company. This bus was very stylish inside and very comfy. We had an excellant tour guide who was very funny and informative. We stopped at...More

We travelled with Reykjavik Excursions, booked via Icelandair and the trip was amazing. So much to see and we didn't feel rushed or that we had spent too long on the bus. It was all timed very well to allow you enough time at each...More

Our tour guide, Flosi, was outstanding. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything, and he took plenty of time to answer questions and to feed us a tremendous amount of Icelandic history. The stops on the tour are incredible, and...More

Make no mistake, the Golden Circle is a tourist trap. It's pretty interesting if it's the only thing you can see outside Reykjavik, but after a 6-day road trip around the whole country, it was by far the least impressive thing we saw. You'd be...More

We booked with "Bus Travel" an amazing tour company! Small buses so your tour group is small and the guides know the best times to go so the attractions aren't over crowded. If you have a few days in Iceland definitely do this tour/route. Gullfoss...More

No way. Need a boot, perhaps a hiking with waterproofing and a warm, wicking sock. Perhaps a spare in case you get wet. You have to be ready for cold, wind, and rain at any time. It's slippery too.
