Otherworldly is the best word to describe this area.
We explored here and were constantly in awe at the dramatic hills, water and lava fields.
A good stop is the Black church, quite striking against the background. A nice walk to the water from this location as well.

This is just a roadside stop, but the view over this incredibly vast lava field is incredible. On the map, when this lava originally flowed into the ocean, it created the entire point.

Departure from the site of the photogenic black church of Budir then large loop in a landscape of lava, groves and moss frequented by a few sheep towards the site of an old 18th century port and above all a small crater to climb. Very wild and very beautiful
