Love Valley...its not for everyone

Ok, first of all...Love Valley is a working horse town. I say "horse town" because to get in you either have to walk or ride a horse. A friend of mine and his band were playing... read more

The only thing missing here was James Arnett and Festus and Miss Kitty. An old west town totally unexpected in North Carolina. No cars allowed here- only horses -I am serious- dirt roads and realistic saloons. Great heartland meals like catfish, brisket, BBQ, Carp fries, Rocky Mountain oysters. This is Cowboy heaven. Check your fins and knives at the door---... More

Ok, first of all...Love Valley is a working horse town. I say "horse town" because to get in you either have to walk or ride a horse. A friend of mine and his band were playing at The Silver Spur Saloon so I decided to go. I camped out. There are plenty of places to camp...as long as you dont... More

We stopped during the early morning (10am) and it was a ghost town. It was a bit creepy but the few folks we met were pleasant.

Love love love!!! Can't wait to go back! Anyone looking for a small town to stop and enjoy life as it once was, without all the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is the place to go!!!

This little town is just off I77 in North Carolina, north of Charlotte. It's a small place, open Thurs thru Sunday. Neat place to visit and ride. Other days of the week there is still riding and places to stay, but town is not 'open'. Was a cool little overnight stay for me. Would definitely go again.

This is a trail riding mecca for many people, but it's rather rough. The best way to describe it is "Sturgis for horses". Many folks go there to drink more than ride. The little western town area is quaint and worth a look, but it's only one short street. Rebel flags are everywhere, even their logo, if you get the... More

We visited Love Valley as part of our tour. We were more than disappointed. No one was home! The shops were all closed. The place was rundown and it seemed as though every other building was For Sale. Could not recommend this to anyone.
