This time of year is great for taking photographs and enjoying the peace and tranquility of life. The sun shining through the trees is beautiful. The lodge itself is rustic but the very large fireplace is gorgeous.

Helpful staff guided us to 2 different 1 mile trails with stunning views. Not for the faint of heart not too difficult either. Bring your dog for a walk, plenty of people did and I think they all like the trails too.

Beautiful park and nice hiking trails. The falls were dry upon our visit due to lack of rain😏 however, the views of the Illinois River were great. Beautiful lodge with Bar/grill was added bonus !

Took the paddleboat ride on the IL river. Saw eagles in a tree on Plum Island & carp jumping out of the water near to the boat.

Nice trails and beautiful canyons and views. Lots of stairs, but many are to specific sites and can be skipped if you are tired. We had a great time.

Great trails to walk on any time of year. Beautiful waterfalls in the summer which freeze into living ice-sculptures in the winter. Fall foliage isn't to be missed and Springtime wild flowers are beautiful. Never disappointing whether a quiet day alone or fun with friends...More

Trails aren't to bad to walk. If you don't mind walking that is. Had a very enjoyable day. My boyfriend surprised me by proposing to me near the waterfall.
