When I first started teaching, we went on field trips to the mill every year. However, our numbers became high and they could no longer accommodate such a large group. Definitely take your kids here, there is so much history and it is such an...More

Spent a pleasant afternoon seeing the displays inside the historic mill (docents are knowledgable and friendly) and hiking the surrounding trails. Worked up an appetite - had a lite meal next door at the York Tavern. Their burgers are justly famous.

The grounds are well kept and restoration work has kept this jewel a beautiful and historical landmark. Enjoy nature along the flowing river and beautiful dam.
