A former stop on the Underground Railroad. This former grist mill is one of the oldest buildings around. A small museum with a history interpreter of local history and how the mill worked and how it is still working. They grind corn meal here and...More

This is one of my favorite places to visit. I have walked through the preserves more than I could count and I see something different each time. It is so peaceful and beautiful. When the stresses of life drag you down, a walk in nature...More

I think it's a nice little place to go to and visit and to see what it's like and it's very interesting.

We go often and especially like the freshly ground corn meal for our corn bread etc. The tour is cool for families but just seeing part of DuPage County History is special

It's a beautiful place, especially in the fall. It's a great place to take family photos or just for a visit.

Since most reviews talk about inside the Graue Mill and Museum, I wanted to share with you a little out the outside. Around the back of the Mill is the spinning water wheel that is very peaceful and great for pictures. You can bring your...More

I have been here many times over the years. I never realized the trial and errors that our forefathers had to go through to live. Watching the caretakers using the grinding stones, powered by a waterwheel to crush the oats, was fascinating. Observing the weavers...More

I took the kids for a bike ride here and the place is great. Paved and limestone paths, several bridges, it has about everything for a quick escape into nature. Pavilions are scattered around the park which are typically well maintained.

I've been going to graue mill for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, the best attraction was always the museum with the spinning water wheel and the "giant waterfall". The wheel no longer spins due to preservation, but it's still very...More

The hiking trails are on either side of the river - a relatively short walk - many points to stop and watch the waterfowl. At the car parking area, there is a large, mounted map of the area showing the mill, historic... More
