More pieces to play with on tables.. was approached many times when our masks slipped down but no toys were ever being sanitized. Very overpriced!!! $15 for a child under 2.. highway robbery… would never recommend to anyone, and most certainly wouldn’t waste time or money to come back.. we can here 20+ years ago, was way better..

My grandson had a good time running around trying a lot of things. I was concerned about all the little children putting things in their mouths. Even though the museum had baskets for those items, I did not see any parents placing the sucked on items in them. In addition, it seems a little pricey $17 for what you get, especially since it is per person, so if 2 grandparents bring a child, the cost is $51. I don't think we will be returning.

Very expensive for a couple hours of playtime. That said, the kids (6-9) had a good time and especially loved the time spent building with wood strips - what kid doesn't like to hammer or drill something? I am sure that the operating expenses need to be covered but three children and two adults was $85. I think 1 1/2 - 2 hours was adequate to do everything. Be prepared for children to get wet. The very long water table is a kid magnet.

I enjoyed playing along my toddlers with the water table while my older 2 children 9 and 10 were able to play with the air tubes. If you live nearby its a great idea to get the annual membership.

The weather is getting cold, this is the PERFECT place to take the kids! You could EASILY spend the whole day here! They often have very FUN activities in addition to the fixed areas such as the "build it" area where your kids can build great things with a hammer/nails, also the "water" area where they have a large water area(the kids put on water proof aprons) and they build dams and waterways. Plus the GIANT wind tunnel, it's a THRILL for every kid and you can carry in the little ones! They LOVE it! Right now they have "printing presses" which allow your budding artist to replicate their work for the first time! We got to use their press to learn printing techniques and create a reproducible designs. I couldn't DRAG my daughter away from this!!
It's GREAT because they have "Creativity Studio Drop-Ins",
"Studio drop-ins" are activities in the Creativity Studio that are FREE to DCM members or with Museum admission. Activities explore alternating math-, science-, and art-related discovery projects with a different theme each month!! We got to explore and experiment with a variety of materials and my child got to create a COOL project he was sooooo proud of! The BEST part = Pre-registration is NOT required. Love THAT, as my kids are unpredictable from day to day. Be sure to bring a healthy lunch! In the lower area, over the years they have improved and made a "lunch room" with vending machines. They have no problem with you bringing food in---remember to bring your own!

Went here with my 5 and 8 year old sons. They had a great time "playing" with (learning about) water, air, electricity, building, light and much more. We went with their teenage cousins who played as much as the kids! Much better than the Children's Museum in Madison, Wi!

We went here the day before Thanksgiving 2019 around 2:00 pm with my 4 year old. We were visiting the area from Phoenix, AZ. There were several school groups of rowdy older kids leaving when we arrived, and my son was intimidated. He said he didn't want to go but he was hungry. We asked if we could go eat at Beansprouts and then come back to pay admission. The girl at the desk called her supervisor over and in a very nasty tone said, "The cafe is for the museum patrons only." In Phoenix, we have the same Beansprouts in our science museum and you do not need to pay admission to eat there. My mistake. So we paid the $49 for the 4 of us to enter (3 adults, 1 child). The staff member taking our money then said very nicely that if we came back in 20 or 30 min and he really didn't want to stay, we could ask for our money back.
My 4 year old enjoyed the 2 hours at the museum. He had plenty to do. We had a bad experience with a little girl whose parent/guardian was nowhere to be seen at the bubble area and splashed bubble water in my son's eyes but other than that, he had fun. It was a small children's museum but very decent considering it was in the suburbs and we didn't drive 40 min into the city.
I would have given it 5 stars but for the nasty and distrustful supervisor. If my son wasn't there listening and insisting that we leave, I would have had words with her. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I've never encountered such nastiness in a children's museum. The same message could have been conveyed in a much more professional manner.

We were in the area for a wedding and I weighed several options on how to spend the morning. We’re glad we ended up here! My three kids- 1, 3, and 5- all loved every minute. This is no small feet for my temperamental 1 year old. We spent about 2.5 hours here and could’ve spent more if we didn’t have a wedding to get to! My 5 year old’s favorite activity was the bubble booth. My 3 year old’s favorite was the splash area. Highly recommended!

My grandchildren love this place! Though they live in NYC and visit the kids' museums in each of the buroughs, they consider this one special and expect to go there each time they are in town. There are wind tunnels, bubble and water play areas, light puzzles, etc. The current temporary exhibit is of DaVinci imagined machines.

After having a horrible stroller experience at the Field Museum, I took my kids here and what a difference! A better class of employees and more accommodations for strollers! The kids had a ball!
