It was raining for three days, but we had a good time driving around the area. The scenery was beautiful despite the rain. The park was clean and quiet. We will go back.

Peace and quiet on this trip. Spring was delayed this year so we got to see a lot of this beginning to wake up. Thanks to the staff for being friendly and helpful

Nice staff in the visitors area. Took a hike on one of the trails. If you enjoy rock formations , this is a good place.

I first went to Giant City State park in the early 80's when i was attending SIU... To this day, it never ceases to amaze me... This not-too-hidden-gem in Southern Illinois is proof that Illinois isn't just flat, boring cornfields.... The Nature Trail ("Giant City...More

Great place to visit. So much to do even in the surrounding area. Camping, hiking, waterfalls, wildlife, climbing on the rocks, exploring. Just a great time all around for both young and old

This is a beautiful park with a black top road winding through the trees. It is a beautiful drive. There are at least 6 nature trails that you can hike and each is quite different. They vary in distance up to 1 mile. They also...More

I'm not sure exactly where the campground area is, but the hiking trails were spread pretty fair apart. The welcome center was a couple miles from the trails too.
