A friend who lives in the area suggested we stop by and take a look at this place. The headstones are huge and we found a lot of history in this place. The Al Capone area, bishops and Cardinal area were both very interesting. Worth the stop.

Was reading the new Al Capone book and staying nearby on business. Easy access off Roosevelt road. The grave site is located just inside the entrance to the right in section 35.

I stopped in the office to get a grave location for a cousin and the kiosk was off so ventured in the office , a very pleasant young man helped me, gave me location and a map. I went to the gravesite and found only one stone with a family name on it. Went back to the office and an... More

I wasn't aware Cemeteries were on Tripadvisor's list of places to visit until it popped up after I reviewed a nearby restaurant. Despite the fact that my wife has family members buried here and whenever we are in Chicago we make it a point to visit, it is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places just to reflect... Beautiful Cemetary with clean areas and well kept grass. Staff very helpful and answered all my questions. Just wish, they would not take off decorations so soon.

Yes it has graves of Chicago mobsters like Capone, also really interesting was that a large percentage of the headstones had old black and white photos on them.

Its hard to wright a review about a cemetery. I have many relatives and friends buried here or in one of the mausoleum's. This is one of the greatest ever. When I grew up in the area we would sneak in and go fishing in the beautiful lake. This will be my last place.

I have many family members who are buried at this cemetery. I always visit when I am in town visiting family. The cemetery is always nicely kept up and is a classic. I visited in October, and not only do I visit my family members, but I also find it interesting the mobsters that are buried there too. This may... More
