This is a review for a downtown Geneva store named Scentcerly Yours on State Street. I've been wanting to go to Scentcerely Yours since they opened 3 years ago but haven't made it there until today. I surprised my 9 yrs old son and took him there so we could have some relaxing fun in the air conditioning since its 95 degrees outside. At first he had no idea what he was there for so I asked the staff to explain to him what he was able to do. They had over 100 different scents along the wall to choose. First you smell any, or all, of the scents you think would appeal to you and write down which ones you enjoy. Then after you make your selections, you choose a vessel...a candle holder, a wick diffuser, or a body treatment (ie body scrub, shower gel, body lotion, ect) that you wish to choose as your craft. Next, one of their knowledgeable staff members will make sense of your selections to help you combine possible options. You get the chance to smell what you like best before combining the scents together. We had a great deal of fun blending our aromas together. We both chose to make candles and since the aromas change seasonally, we want to come back at multiple times during the year. I would give Scentcerely Yours 10 stars if I could. The shop was super clean and welcoming. The staff could not have been more welcoming and so pleasant to work with. Hands down a terrific experience and my son really was glad for this surprise!

Returned to Geneva for a weekend of live music. Saddened to see empty store fronts starting to occur (post pandemic) but hopeful businesses will start to rebound soon. We did find a NEW men's cosignment shop call "Stitch Switch" on a side street by the courthouse. It was the coolest little shop I've seen in awhile filled with quality named brand clothing and shoes all perfectly organized. The owner came across as a really nice guy and very genuine.

Other shops that were open downtown were staffed with friendly people.

Shopping, visiting, eating, fantastic time. Stores are really a treat, let alone the eating places. Not many little downtown areas left around - but this one is sure to please!

Don't miss this fantastic area, full of unique little shops! SRNTY has beautiful jewelry at amazing prices. (NO exaggeration!!) Galena Wine Cellars allows you to do a tasting or a little wine shopping & then grab a glass or bottle & sit outside & enjoy some wine on the patio. & DO NOT miss Graham's chocolate! Too much to share...experience it for yourself!!

Just returned from a day to to Geneva Historic Shopping District. Wish we had more time to visit the Cellars wine. Most of the shops were unique but the sales people were very snobby and not talkative at all.

We discovered this lovely little town while searching for a winery. Found the winery and so much more! Lots of cute shops with quality products. Shop keepers were all friendly and clearly proud of their town. Many restaurants to choose from ... everything from coffee shops to gourmet meals. Loved the spice shop, the olive oil place, and, of course, the chocolate shop!

The town was great. Blocks and blocks of cute shops and modern restaurants, all among historical buildings and sites. The town is made more beautiful by the fact that it is sitting on the Fox River. The only drawback is most of the shops close early (we were out on a Sunday at 4pm). This was a great place to get away for a couple days or to take a day trip if you are within driving distance.

We have lived in Geneva for over 20 years and continue to enjoy a downtown that is vibrant, welcoming & relaxing. There are multiple restaurants, live entertainment, horse drawn carriage rides, multiple Festivals, a vibrant history center and so on. Our grown children love coming back & sharing their hometown with new friends. Thank you for maintaining a memorable city with so many wonderful people!

What a charming town to visit on a Sunday during the French Market got 2 cute dish towels from Cadeaux de Madelaine and wished we had brought a cooler to sample some cheese from another vendor all the produce looked inviting as well . Went to Grahams for an affogato and cake batter gelato and bought some soap for The perfect Man at Anastazia. The Geneva spice house is always wonderful and I laughed as my sister in law sampled the crystallized ginger ( not her favorite) all in all a great way to spend a sunny Sunday

After having breakfast we decided to just walk around historic downtown and see what we would find. Meeting my niece and her husband there, my wife and I had a enjoyable time looking into all the different shops and tasting some of the wine and treats Geneva has to offer. Local wine flights were a surprise and we had to purchase the Mead after tasting the Semi Sweet choice. Ice cream and chocolates were an added stop after realizing we could not pass up these quick treats. Everyone was nice as we were greeted in each shop entered, and talking to locals we found some interesting spots pointed out to us that we may want to see. This was an enjoyable day spent with family that we have not seen for some time and a lovely community that you should not miss.
